I've found an incredible nonprofit magazine called The Polishing Stone. Perhaps you remember hearing me share about the work they're doing to promote healthful living that's in harmony with the earth. They offer simple solutions anyone can use!

As an ad-free, independent magazine, subscription and newsstand revenues don't nearly cover their costs of production — they need donations to keep the presses going and good messages rolling. Would you consider extending your support to this nonprofit magazine that I love, through subscribing for yourself or a friend, or making a tax-deductible contribution?

The Polishing Stone inspires waves of positive change by:

• Sharing great tips on whole foods, earth-friendly gardening, natural health care, environmental products and services and "green" home remodeling.
  
  
• Presenting interesting investigative articles on environmental and social issues and sharing thoughts on community, parenting, relationships and our inner spirits.
  
  
• Taking the "issues" and relating them to day-to-day living, with a mix of real-life anecdotes and concise reporting. This style of non-judgmental "storytelling" feels welcoming and easy to take in. It also promotes understanding and compassion and opens our minds to new ways of thinking.
  
  
• Bridging the gap between environmental and social activists and the rest of us — who also care deeply about our quality of life and the future of our planet.
  
  
• Encouraging the use of earth-friendly products and services, which, in turn, increases their demand. The Polishing Stone also promotes the shift away from virgin wood pulp for paper making by printing on a blend of tree-free kenaf and recycled content paper.
  
  
• Supporting the existence and growth of the independent media, which provides an alternative to the homogenization of our national media, and allows information to be presented without corporate ties.

This work — expanding the free-flow of healthful information — matters deeply to me.
